District Communications Team Wins Two National Awards of Excellence
Superintendent Dr. Ngieng presented to the board that the District Communications Team been recognized nationally for excellence in school communications, earning two Awards of Excellence from the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education (CACE) for its Journey to 2036 and What’s in a Name? Projects.
Education
Communications Department: Strategic Plan Progress Report
Kristi Ferguson, Senior Manager of Communications and Community Relations, presented and highlighted the communcations department’s achievements, learnings, and initiatives that bring the district’s strategic priorities to life.
Human Resources Department: Strategic Plan Progress Report
Patricia La Framboise-Lo, Associate Superintendent, Human Resources provided a progress report to the Board highlighting achievements related to Strategic Goals in the 2024-25 school year.
Measuring Up Report and Video
Superintendent Ngieng spoke on the Measuring Up Report, which highlights progress made on each of our four pillars in the 2024-25 school year.
Above and Beyond Champions (ABC) Awards of Excellence
Superintendent Ngieng presented to the board the update to the Above and Beyond Champsions (ABC) Awards of Excellence.

Trustee Indemnity Report
Secretary Treasurer Peter Neale presented the Trustee Indemnity Report.
Update on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation
Secretary Treasurer Peter Neale reported on the ERP system implementation for the District.
School Budget Calendar 2026-2027
The Board of Education approved the 2026-2027 Budget Calendar as presented.
Property Disposition Bylaw 89: Ten Broeck Elementary - Statutory Right of Way (BC Hydro and Power Authority/Telus Communications)
The School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) Property Disposition Bylaw No. 89 was given a third reading, reconsidered, and finally passed and adopted on the 4th day of November 2025.

The Board of Education reviewed several board policies and approved changes.
